Completed in 2010 by American Bridge, the Williams Pipeline Bridges project involved replacing the main and suspender cables, saddles, and anchorages on two gas pipeline suspension bridges. The Colorado River Bridge has a 550′ main span, and the Brazos River Bridge has a 750′ main span. Structural modifications to towers and anchorages were made to support the new system, and the natural gas pipeline remained pressurized at 750-800 psi during the work.
