Completed in 2014 by American Bridge, the Walt Whitman Bridge Deck Replacement project involved rehabilitating a seven-lane suspension bridge across the Delaware River. Work included replacing the deck with a steel grid, installing new signal gantries, lateral braces, stringers, a movable barrier system, and strengthening the floor truss. Additionally, new bearings and finger joints were installed. Equipment used included hydraulic and overhead cranes, a compressor, and a truck attenuator.
