W6: Western Watershed Sewer Relief Line, Project 1

Completed in 2014 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the W6: Western Watershed Sewer Relief Line, Project 1 consisted of approximately 5,400 linear feet of 96-inch fiberglass reinforced (FRP) open cut sanitary sewer pipeline and 640 linear feet of 60-inch bore under I-35. Construction of 2 concrete siphon systems across Leon Creek. Bypass of 1,200 linear feet of sewer. Removed and replaced asphalt paving which consisted of 4,470 of 12-inch black base with 4-inch flexbase subgrade full width asphalt paving Installation of manholes and related appurtenances, junction boxes, and site restoration. Traffic control and flagging service associated with work within the roads. Scope of work included, clearing, grading, excavation for pipeline installation, structural concrete placement, rip rap placement and final restoration.
