Completed in 1963 by American Bridge, the United Steelworkers (IBM) Bldg., 5 Gateway Center project consisted of fabricating and erecting a distinctive 13-story office building with diamond-shaped stainless steel exterior framing, measuring 137′ x 110′ x 239′ high. The building has six core columns, and the outside wall is carried on the diamond-shaped panels.
