Union Pacific Railroad Merced Realignment

Completed in 1926 by American Bridge, the Union Pacific Railroad Merced Realignment project consisted of constructing five new bridges in a realignment of the Y.V.R.R. between Merced Falls and Detwiler, California, including two 2-span 633’9″ through trusses. The realignment was necessary due to the construction of the Exchequer Dam.
