Union Pacific Des Moines River Bridge

Completed in 2002 by American Bridge, the Union Pacific Des Moines River Bridge project involved rehabilitating the 2,685′ steel viaduct. Work on the 300′ deck truss included eyebar shortening, reinforcement of truss components, floor beam strengthening, and replacement of bottom lateral bracing and sway frames—all completed with minimal rail traffic disruption.
