Completed in 1970 by American Bridge, the Three Rivers Stadium project consisted of constructing an oval-shaped enclosed stadium with a major axis of 561′ and a minor axis of 514′. The structure included three levels of concrete and three levels of steel, rising 139′ 4¼” from the playing surface to the top.
