The St. Kitts Cruise Pier

Completed in 2019 by American Bridge, the St. Kitts Cruise Pier project added a second pier at Port Zante, accommodating two world-class cruise ships and boosting local economic opportunities. Work included demolishing mooring dolphins, driving 48” steel pipe piles, installing concrete caps, deck slabs, fenders, bollards, mooring and breasting dolphins, catwalks, and cathodic protection. The 60-foot-wide, 670-foot-long pier was designed to withstand a 100-year storm. Construction faced challenges such as deep-water conditions, remote location, and limited skilled labor, which AB addressed through strategic planning and workforce mentoring.
