The widening of approximately 7.6 miles of Turnpike mainline from 4 and 6 lanes to 8 lanes from north of SR 804 (Boynton Beach Boulevard) (milepost 87.1) to north of SR 802 (Lake Worth Road) (milepost 94.7). The typical section consists of one express lane and 3 general tolled lanes in each direction. Work includes realigning the mainline centerline to the west to prevent the proposed improvements from encroaching into the Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) facility specified width and mitigate the risk of possible triggering events. This project also includes the construction of the mainline AET toll facilities and partial reconstruction of the existing Lantana Toll Plaza to accommodate six through lanes, with the remainder of ticket lanes (4 in each direction) to remain in operation.
