Completed in 2006, the SR 528 over the Indian River Bridge Replacement – High Rise Bridge Over the Intercoastal Waterway project consisted of the construction of 3,900 linear foot long and 95-foot-high major roadway and high-level bridge over the ICWW. This project consisted of the construction of a bridge over the Indian River in Brevard County. The scope of work included maintenance of traffic (MOT); erosion/sedimentation/turbidity control; stormwater management; prestressed concrete piling; sheet piling; cofferdams; sub and superstructure; mass grading/embankment; barrier walls; retaining walls; bank stabilizations; approach slab and roadway; curbing; sidewalks; guardrail system; underground power & signalization; jack & bore; pressure & gravity piping systems; grading; flexible paving; sodding; fencing; and drainage. This project was completed ahead of schedule.
