Completed in 2003 by American Bridge, the Spuyten-Duyvil Bridge Emergency Repairs No. 2 project involved repairing a swingspan bridge hit by a barge. Temporary tie rods and weldments were installed, and the bridge was jacked vertically and horizontally to reset it on the roller rim plate. Later, a new drive shaft was installed, and 25′ of truss bottom chord and 8′ of diagonal were replaced.
