Completed in 2010 by American Bridge, the South Grand Island Bridge Rehabilitation involved replacing the northbound bridge deck with a new exodermic deck, performed at night to minimize traffic impact. The project also included replacing 168 steel bearings with elastomeric bearings and concrete pier repairs, completed by subcontractor BVR Construction.
