Completed in 1986 by Mole Constructors, the Slaughter Creek Wastewater Tunnel, Phase 2 project involved approximately 5,600 linear feet of 87-inch tunnel, utilizing an 87-inch Jarva Mark VI Tunnel Boring Machine. Excavation occurred through limestone at depths ranging from 30 feet to 60 feet. Cellular concrete annulus backfill was utilized.
