Skokomish River Bridge

Completed in 1929 by American Bridge, the Skokomish River Bridge project consisted of one of two bridges fabricated and erected for the Simpson Logging Company near Shelton, Washington. AB order number F-2958 was for a six-span, 685′ bridge over the Skokomish River weighing 1,530,000 pounds. It featured five 65′ deck girder spans and one 360′ arch span, reaching a height of 420′. Erection was completed using a high line and locomotive crane, with fabrication performed at the Trenton Plant.
