Completed in 2016 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the Shepherd Drive Drainage and Paving Improvements Project consisted of the removal of existing monolithic and RCP storm sewers and the installation of new storm sewers ranging in size from 24-inch to 84-inch with outfall structure, pipe culverts and bank stabilization at Buffalo Bayou including storm inlets, manholes and junction boxes by open-cut and tunnel construction methods. Removal and replacement of existing roadway along Shepherd Drive to consist of 32,000 square yards of 11-inch concrete paving, 34,000 square yards of 8-inch cement stabilized sand subgrade, 7,000 square yards of asphalt paving with 4-inch black base. Removal and replacement existing utilities, installation of manholes and removal and replacement of existing roadway along Shephard Drive.
