Within this project 22 barrier transition plates were purchased, formed, fabricated, burned to size and detailed for the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge. The scope also included the addition of weld studs; drilling and countersinking of holes; preparation for weld blasting; and the priming, painting, loading and shipping of the steel plates. Each plate is 0.5 by 120mm by 2500mm with one longitudinal bend, end plates and shims. The additional weld studs and flat head cap screws are shipped loose for field installations.
