Completed in 2003 by American Bridge, the San Diego Padres Baseball Stadium project involved fabricating and erecting 10,000 tons of steel, including beams, columns, trusses, and a scoreboard tower. The 46,000-seat stadium features 42,000 fixed seats on three decks with an extended cantilever for closer fan seating. The fast-track project included pre-finished and painted steel to allow quick installation of pre-cast seating units. The structure is primarily bolted with large gusset plate connections and 320,000 field bolts.
