Salado Creek WRC to Dos Rios WRC Interconnect

Completed in 2004 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the Salado Creek WRC to Dos Rios WRC Interconnect project consisted of approximately 18,000 linear feet of Hobas pipe, two 15-foot diameter tunnels approximately 100 feet deep. Manholes, concrete structures and electrical modifications. Soil conditions consisted of shale and mixed clays. Tunneling equipment used was an earth pressure balance tunneling machine manufactured by Southland Contracting, Inc. Completing project by connecting two plants at new Headworks Structure / Grit Facility.
