Rockefeller Center, First Nine Buildings

Completed in 1939 by American Bridge, the Rockefeller Center First Nine Buildings project consisted of the fabrication and erection of nine buildings and a central plaza, utilizing a total of 95,000 tons of structural steel. The centerpiece of the complex is the 70-story General Electric (formerly RCA) Building. The project also included a 39-story building, a 40-story building, two six-story buildings, a 16-story building, the International Music Hall, a theater, and the world-famous Rockefeller Plaza.
