Completed in 1986 by American Bridge, the Rochester-Monaca Bridge project consisted of the design and construction of a two-lane, three-span continuous through truss bridge totaling 1,588 feet, along with three steel plate girder approach spans. The new bridge was built on modified existing foundations. Structural steel was fabricated by Stupp Brothers Bridge & Iron Company, transported via barge, and erected using cranes. Erection was performed by balanced cantilever from the main piers with support provided by falsework bents.
