Completed in 2007 by Southland Contracting, the RMMA Redevelopment Water Transmission Main SER 2277 Project consisted of installing approximately 950 linear feet of 60-inch tunnel with 36-inch water transmission pipeline under IH-35. Shaft depths were 40 vertical feet and 50 vertical feet. This project is unique in that it must be completed in 3 months. Southland Contracting completed tunneling within one month. Project was to provide water to Michael Dell Children’s Hospital.
