RFK Triborough Bridge Miscellaneous Structural Improvements

Completed in 2011 by American Bridge, the RFK Triborough Bridge Miscellaneous Structural Improvements project involved upgrades to the Robert F. Kennedy Suspension Bridge over the East River. The work included installing structural protections for hanger ropes and cables, and reinforcing the steel towers. All work was done during full bridge operation, with American Bridge responsible for traffic maintenance and security clearances. The bridge’s suspender ropes and deck were previously replaced by American Bridge in 2004.
