Reedsport Fabrication Facilities

Completed in 2003 by American Bridge, the Reedsport Fabrication Facilities project consisted of the erection of American Bridge’s fabrication facility in Reedsport, OR. The project involved the construction of a structural steel fabrication, painting, engineering, and office complex on a 40-acre site along the Umpqua River. The project included extensive site improvements such as a deepwater barge pier, a 48,000 SF high bay fabrication building (120′ by 400′), a 12,000 SF paint building (60′ by 200′) with HEPA filters and positive air flow, and a 7,200 SF engineering building. The work also included the installation of all necessary equipment, including one 10-ton, two 20-ton, and one 35-ton overhead cranes in the fabrication building, one 10-ton overhead crane in the paint building, an angle master, a Wheelabrator sandblasting machine, beam drilling line, punches, saws, cutting tables, compressors, welding machines, and more. The paint building was designed to provide an air exchange rate of four times per hour.
