Completed in 2012 by American Bridge, the Red Bug Lake Road Pedestrian Overpass is a 735′ bridge with a 170′ main span, part of Seminole County’s trail network. The bridge features precast/pre-stressed concrete beams, a cast-in-place deck, and architectural elements like brick-clad columns and custom aluminum rails. The project also included retaining walls, resurfacing of Red Bug Lake Road, and construction of 1,200′ of pedestrian/bicycle trail.
