Completed in 2018 by American Bridge, the Portageville Bridge Replacement project features a 963’ single-track railroad bridge with a 483’ arch span, standing 235’ above the Genesee River. Work included constructing the new bridge adjacent to the existing one, demolishing the old structure, blasting keyways in canyon walls, site work, micropile foundations, concrete piers, structural steel erection, deck installation, rail tie-ins, and final grading.
