Completed in 2002 by American Bridge, the Port Manatee Berth 8 Bulkhead Replacement project involved removing the failed bulkhead and installing 331 LF of new Pipe/Z and sheet pile bulkhead with a reinforced concrete cap. The work included 12,000 CY of dredging, minimal drainage modifications, 6,500 CY of backfill and compaction, and 1,700 SY of subgrade, base, and paving.
