Point Marion Truss Bridge SR0088

Completed in 2009 by American Bridge, the Point Marion Truss Bridge SR0088 project involved erecting a 412′-6″ Parker Truss span over the Monongahela River for a new 746′ four-span bridge. The truss was pre-assembled, disassembled, floated 95 miles, and erected on falsework with cantilevered installation. The project used 1,250 tons of structural steel and earned the ASHE Pittsburgh Section Outstanding Highway Engineering Award in 2010.
