Pinto Island Terminal

Completed in 2009 by American Bridge, the Pinto Island Terminal project involved constructing a marine transshipment terminal for steel slab transfer from ocean ships to inland barges. The project included a 1,003′ pier (Outboard Dock) and a tieback wall (Inboard Dock) creating a slip for barges. The docks featured cast-in-place concrete structures supported by prestressed and steel pipe piles. Additional work included crane rail foundations, barge haul rail system, drive rack, dolphins, and line handling cells.
