Completed in 2003 by Johnson Bros. Corporation, Penn Ave. Bridge over I-494 project was a fast-track interchange construction over six lanes of I-494. The project started in December of 2001 and the bridge opened November 15th, 2002. Project consisted of the construction of six lanes converging at center single point steel girder bridge over 2 acres in size. Additional scope included mass grading, storm sewer, utilities, lift station, retaining walls, and bridge construction.
