Completed in 1923 by American Bridge, the Parana River Rail Bridge Fabrication project consisted of fabricating an eight-span, single-track through railroad bridge with five through riveted truss spans of 433′ 4″ and a three-span cantilevered truss of 1,164′ 1½”, totaling 6,575 tons (13,150,000 lbs) of structural steel.
