Northside Sewer Relief Tunnel Rehabilitation Area No. 5

Completed in 2016 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the Northside Sewer Relief Tunnel Rehabilitation Area No. 5 Project consisted of sliplining approximately 3,130 linear feet of 132-inch diameter cast-in-place unlined concrete pipe from the Clinton Dive Lift Station along Clinton Drive to Bayou Street with 120-inch internal diameter fiberglass reinforced polymer mortar pipe (FRPM pipe), SN 72. Sliplining required cleaning of existing pipe, removal of existing sediment, debris, failed PVC liner, foreign waste, etc. This phase also required pre and post CCTV inspections, partial diversion and/or bypass pumping of existing wastewater flows during necessary rehabilitation work. Rehabilitation of several existing manholes and installing a corrosion protection system according to specifications.
