Completed in 1980 by American Bridge, the Newburgh Beacon Bridge No. 2 project consisted of fabricating and erecting the 6,336′ steel truss bridge using balanced cantilever, float-in, and hoisting methods. The 25,753-ton structure is a twin to Bridge No. 1.
