Completed in 1977 by Mole Constructors, the Neebing-McIntyre Sanitary Trunk Sewer, Contract 3 project involved constructing approximately 11,000 linear feet of tunnel with a diameter of 7 feet. The tunnel utilized concrete segments and was excavated using a 97-inch Lovat Tunnel Boring Machine. Excavation occurred through sands and silts at depths ranging from 40 feet to 60 feet below the water table. Epoxy grout was used for repairing the concrete segmental lining.
