Completed in 2003 by American Bridge, the Mt. Hope Bridge Suspender Replacement project involved replacing 109 pairs (218 ropes) of 1 3/8″ diameter wire rope suspenders, ranging from 11′ to 253′ in length. The work also included lead paint removal and re-painting at the socket areas and cable bands.
