Misc. Structural Retrofits at Throgs Neck Bridge

Completed in 2011 by American Bridge, the Misc. Structural Retrofits at Throgs Neck Bridge project involved fabrication and installation of structural protections for hanger ropes and main cables, along with tower reinforcements. The 2,910’ suspension bridge, spanning Long Island Sound, remained fully operational during work, with American Bridge managing traffic maintenance and security clearances. The bridge was originally constructed by American Bridge in 1960.
