Mill Creek/Peaks Branch/State Thomas Drainage Relief Tunnel

Completed in 2026 by Southland Contracting, the Mill Creek/Peaks Branch/State Thomas Drainage Relief Tunnel Project construction and scope of work includes tunneling, 17,050 linear feet of 30-inch diameter concrete lined drainage tunnel that goes through 45-foot long transition (continues as a 30-foot by 30.5-foot horseshoe tunnel), 9,290 linear feet with five shafts ranging from 11-feet to 25-feet in diameter, one 40-foot diameter outfall shaft, and four major intake structures.
