Completed in 2011 by American Bridge, the Mayport Wharf Delta Bulkhead Replacement project involved reconstructing 2,000′ of bulkhead at Mayport Naval Station. The work included designing and building a new HZ combination wall bulkhead with a concrete cap, tied back with 60′ soil anchors. The project also included demolition, utility work, paving, and refurbishment of moorings and fenders, completed in sections while maintaining naval ship services. Security and safety programs were strictly enforced throughout. The design was sublet to Halcrow.
