Mary Rhodes Pipeline, Phase 2 – Pump Stations and Sedimentation Basin

Completed in 2016 by Oscar Renda Contracting, the Mary Rhodes Pipeline Phase 2 Pump Station/Sedimentation Basin Project consisted of two earthen sedimentation basins with capacities of approximately 12 million gallons each. Construction of low-pressure River pump station capable of transferring 46 MGD to the sedimentation basins. The intakes for the River Pump Station will be microtunneled river intakes with screens placed in the Colorado River. Construction of high-pressure booster pump station capable of transferring 46 MGD to the existing Mary Rhodes water transmission system. The scope of work involved clearing, mass excavation and grading, dewatering, construction of coffer dam, pipeline installation, structural concrete placement for pump station, mechanical equipment installation (screens, valves, pumps etc). Electrical, SCADA/Instrumentation and HVAC systems installed at the pump station.
