This project represents the fabrication and erection of the Mackinaw City truss approach and the St. Ignace truss and girder approaches to the Mackinac Suspension Bridge. This work included 35 deck truss spans aggregating 10,243′ (3,122m) and 14 girder spans aggregating 700′ (213m). Total weight of structural steel in this portion of the work was 18,188 tons.
