Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched October 11, 1944. Commissioned USS LST-832 on November 4, 1944. During World War II, USS LST-832 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Participated in the Okinawa Gunto operation (Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, April 1 to June 10, 1945). USS LST-832 earned one battle star for World War II service. Following World War II USS LST-832 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East for the following periods: October 9 to 25, 1945 and November 18 to December 8, 1945. Decommissioned on April 30, 1946 at New Orleans, LA. Struck from the Naval Register on July 3, 1946. Sold to Alexander Shipyards Inc, New Orleans, LA. Final Disposition, fate unknown.
