Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched September 30, 1944. Commissioned USS LST-830 on October 28, 1944. During World War II, USS LST-830 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Participated in the Okinawa Gunto operation (Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, April 2 to 29, 1945). USS LST-830 earned one battle star for World War II service. Following World War II USS LST-830 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East for the following periods: September 15 to 20, 1945 and October 22, 1945 to November 15, 1945. Decommissioned on April 29, 1946. Struck from the Naval Register on July 3, 1946. Final Disposition, sold for commercial operations on July 8, 1947, to Compania, Naviera, Argentina, Buenos Aires, Argentina, fate unknown.
