Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched August 30, 1944. Commissioned USS LST-766 on September 25, 1944. During World War II, USS LST-766 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Following World War II USS LST-766 was assigned to Occupation and China service in the Far East for the following periods: Sepember 25 to October 18, 1945. Decommissioned on March 19, 1946. Struck from the Naval Register on June 5, 1946. Sold for commercial operations on December 24, 1946, to Pedro Bidegaray. Final Disposition, fate unknown.
