Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched July 29, 1944. Commissioned USS LST-759 on August 25, 1944. During World War II, USS LST-759 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Participated in the Okinawa Gunto operation (Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, April 1 to June 10, 1945). USS LST-759 earned one battle star for World War II service. Decommissioned on March 29, 1946. Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, Columbia River Group. Named Eddy County (LST-759) on July 1, 1955. Struck from the Naval Register on October 1, 1958. Sold to Singapore in 1971 as Intrepid (L 203). Final Disposition, fate unknown.
