Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched May 14, 1944. Commissioned USS LST-672 on June 5, 1944. During World War II USS LST-672 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Participated in two campaigns including Leyte operations (Leyte landings, October 20, 1944) and Okinawa Gunto operation (Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, June 1945). USS LST-672 earned two battle stars for World War II service. Following World War II USS LST-672 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East for the following periods: September 24, 1945 to April 10, 1946. Decommissioned on June 26, 1946. Struck from the Naval Register on July 31, 1946. Sold on January 2, 1947 to the Suwannee Fruit and Steam Ship Corp., Jacksonville, FL. Final Disposition, fate unknown.
