Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched April 13, 1944. Commissioned USS LST-664 on May 10, 1944. During World War II USS LST-664 was assigned to the Europe-Africa-Middle East Theater. Participated in the Invasion of Southern France (August 15 to September 25, 1944). USS LST-664 earned one battle star for World War II service. Decommissioned on October 12, 1949. Recommissioned on December 14, 1951. Decommissioned Date unknown. Assigned to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS), April 19, 1955, placed in service as USNS T-LST-664. Placed out of service and struck from the Naval Register on June 15, 1973. Final Disposition, sold for scrapping on October 23, 1973, to Majid Karoon, Inc., Khorramshahr, Iran.
