Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched June 6, 1943. Commissioned USS LST-267 on August 9, 1943. During World War II USS LST-267 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Participated in five campaigns including Marianas Operation (Capture and occupation of Saipan, June 15 to July 28, 1944), Capture and occupation of Tinian (July 24 to 28, 1944), Western Caroline Islands operation (Capture and occupation of southern Palau Islands, September 9 to October 14, 1944), Luzon operation (Lingayen Gulf landing January 9, 1945), and Okinawa Gunto operation (Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, March 25 to June 24, 1945). USS LST-267 earned five battle stars for World War II service. Following World War II USS LST-267 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East for the following periods: September 2, 1945 to January 7, 1946 and January 26 to February 7, 1946. Dicommissioned on June 25, 1946. Final disposition, sold for scrapping on September 24, 1947 to Mr. William E. Skinner.
