Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched March 3, 1945. Commissioned USS LST-1091 on April 6, 1945. During World War II, USS LST-1091 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Following World War II USS LST-1091 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East from October 15, 1945 to January 4, 1946. Decommissioned on July 5, 1946, at Bremerton, WA. Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, Columbia River Group. Named Sagadahoc County (LST-1091), July 1, 1955. Transferred to Republic of China (Taiwan), October 1958, renamed ROCS Chung Chin (LST 226). Struck from the Naval Register, February 6, 1959. Decommissioned by the Taiwanese navy, January 1, 2011. Final Disposition, fate unknown.
