Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched February 3, 1945. Commissioned USS LST-1087 on March 2, 1945. During World War II, USS LST-1087 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Following World War II USS LST-1087 was assigned to Occupation and China service in the Far East for the following periods: September 12 to 29, 1945; October 12 to November 7, 1945; and August 12, 1946 to April 10, 1947. Decommissioned on August 11, 1947. Struck from the Naval Register, September 29, 1947. Transferred, April 8, 1948, to the US Army control. Final Disposition, fate unknown.
