During World War II, USS LST-1086 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Following World War II USS LST-1086 was assigned to Occupation and China service in the Far East for the following period: October 16, 1945 to March 26, 1946. Decommissioned on August 7, 1946, at Boston Naval Shipyard, Boston, MA. Laid up in the Atlantic Reserve Fleet. Named USS Potter County (LST-1086), July 1, 1955. Transferred to Greece and renamed HS Ikaria (L-154). Struck From the Naval Register, date unknown. Final Disposition, fate unknown.
