Built by American Bridge Company at the Ambridge Manufacturing Plant in Ambridge, PA. Launched January 13, 1945. Commissioned USS LST-1085 on February 21, 1945. During World War II, USS LST-1085 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Following World War II USS LST-1085 was assigned to Occupation service in the Far East from September 2, to 9 November 9, 1945. Decommissioned, date unknown. Reclassified a Miscellaneous Auxiliary (AG-148), January 27, 1949. Named Colington on February 1, 1949. Reclassified, (AKS-29), August 18, 1951. Struck from the Naval Register, April 1, 1960. Sold in 1960 to Zidell, cut down to the tank deck and cut in half. The aft section became the barge ZB104A. Sold to Bay Tube Rental Co. San Francisco, CA., in the 1960s during construction of the BART tube, renamed Jeanne. Sold in 1979 to Peter Kiewit Sons, Co., Richmond, CA. Sold in 1991 to Manson Construction Co. Sold in 2007 to unknown US interest. Final Disposition, fate unknown.
